Guidebook
We look forward to working with you.
We have assembled a short guidebook to answer questions
commonly asked by our Associates. We hope you find it to be useful
and informative.
Please contact us
if you have a question that is not addressed below.
When to Contact Us
- Call us if you are late or you have an
emergency and cannot report to work. If necessary, you can even
contact us after business hours. Don’t worry about calling
the customer. That’s our job.
- Call us if you are injured or disabled
on the job.
- Call us if you are exposed to hazardous
materials.
- Call us if your assignment is longer or
shorter than the original estimated time frame.
- Call us if you are at the end of your
assignment. If you do not call within three working days, we will
have to assume that you have voluntarily resigned.
- Call us if a customer wants to hire you
as a permanent employee.
How You Are Paid
- Candidates are paid on Friday on a weekly
basis.
- Timecards must be received by Resource
Staffing Services before close of business Monday.
- Paychecks are sent out via regular mail
on Friday afternoon. If your check is lost in the mail, we cannot
issue a new check without first issuing a stop payment order on
the original, and verifying it has not been cashed. If this occurs,
we will wait 10 business days before we issue a stop payment –
at our cost – and provide you with a new check.
- If you choose to have your check held at
the office for pickup, you can fill out a HOLD check form. You
can pick up your check on Friday during regular business hours.
- At times, some customers may use a group
time card or automated time clocks. We will review the time card
process with each candidate before they begin work.
- Please make sure the timecard is completely
filled out and the information is legible. Please refer to the
sample below.

Assignment Tips
- Call us when you are asked to perform
duties you were not assigned to – or if you are asked to
do any work you consider unsafe. Please be aware candidates on
assignment are prohibited from driving or operating a company
owned vehicle, or your own vehicle, without prior authorization
from Resource Staffing.
- When starting a new job, report directly
to the person designated by our office. Please identify yourself
as a Resource Staffing employee, and tell them your full name
and the job you were sent to do. We recommend that you arrive
to the assignment at least 15 minutes early on your first day,
and at least 5 minutes early, or as requested by the customer,
each day thereafter.
- A good attitude and a willingness to go
above and beyond the expectations of the assignment will allow
you to receive a top evaluation from the customer.
- We expect you to dress appropriately for
all assignments. A dress code will be described to each candidate
before the assignment begins.
- Please make sure personal use of cell phones
or of the internet be confined to lunch breaks or during non-business
hours.
